Join Pantanal Jaguar Expeditions on an unforgettable adventure. Your Tour Guide, Elionil, with 12 years of experience leading tours in this region, will provide you with a memorable safari in the heart of the Brazilian Pantanal.
In order to serve our customers best, we offer two main types of package tours. Our first, Ecological Tours, includes the observation of nature (flora and fauna) in the special ecosystem of the Pantanal, staying in comfortable Pousadas (Lodges) with private rooms and ensuite bathrooms as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. With a plethora of activities at your doorstep, you can choose from ecological walks, canoe and motorboat rides along smooth rivers, horseback riding, piranha fishing, jungle hikes and both sunrise and sunset safaris.
Our second package, is our Jaguar Safari. Here you will stay in higher-end lodges for four to five days and we will take to you to the best places in the Pantanal to see and photograph the elusive jaguar.
For avid fishers, we also offer Fishing Trips in the Cuiabá River.

The Park Road was constructed in the 1970s by the military government at the same time as they constructed the Transamazon Highway and the BR-163 interstate, which connects Cuiabá to Santarem in Pará State. Piuval Lodge is located 110 km from Cuiabá and 10 km from Poconé in the state of Mato Grosso. It is the first lodge along the Transpantaneira Highway, which begins in Poconé. Daily departures to Nobres from Cuiabá around 7:00am via the Emanuel Pinheiro paved highway toward the National Park of Chapada dos Guimarães. Daily departures from Cuiabá at about 7:30a.m. for Poconé 100 km from Cuiabá via the paved BR 070 highway. We arrive at the town of Poconé, which is considered the gateway to the Northern Pantanal, at around 9:00a.m. About ten kilometres after Poconé, we arrive at the entry gate to Pantanal National Park, at which point the Transpantaneira, a packed dirt road, begins and we partake in a photo safari enjoying the flora and fauna. The Giant Anteater, relative of sloths and armadillos, weighs between 18 and 40 kg and measures 1 to 1.2 metres long, plus about the same length for its tail. Its nearly 1-metre-long tongue is covered with sticky saliva and sharp spikes.
