NEW - Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring

Low-carbon Engineered flooring

Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring is composed of wood veneer laminated onto a core constructed of alternate layers of wood and Vicwood Mineral Board. Less wood and less energy are consumed in the production of Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring, making it an environmentally conscious product.

Vicwood Mineral Board acts as a natural barrier to fire and moisture, while the wood layer provides the tongue and groove mechanism for easy installation. The top layer, which is a decorative wood veneer, is reinforced so as to render the product more resistant to wear and tear when installed in places with heavy traffic.

The combination of wood and Vicwood Mineral Board makes the product more stable than ordinary engineered flooring, and consequently protects it against changes in the weather.

Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring is suitable for use in homes, hotels and public places. As the product has lower heat conductivity and higher resistance to moisture infiltration than ordinary and engineered flooring, it can be used in premises with heated flooring systems and high humidity.

The components of Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring are recyclable and contain no toxic substances. Consequently, disposal of this product is not a cause for environmental concern.

Vicwood Low Carbon Engineered Flooring provides the following advantages:
  • low formaldehyde emission
  • fire-retardant
  • moisture resistant
  • termite resistant
  • weather resistant
  • low heat conductivity
  • easy to install
  • cost saving
Sizes offered: 15 mm / 18 mm x 125 mm x 910 mm
Custom-made sizes are negotiable.

Vicwood Click-Flooring

Since 2009 Vicwood has been producing its flooring with a click locking system. Manufactured in dimensions of 10.5mm x 125mm x 1220mm with a 0.6mm thick top veneer, this is a glueless flooring with an HDF core and veneer face and back. We also produce plywood-based flooring with veneer face (our multi-layer Engineered Flooring), lumber core flooring with veneer face (a 3-layer parquet with Chinese Cedar core 14(3.0)/15(4.0)mm x 125/150/189mm x 1,220mm/1860mm) and laminated flooring 8.3mm x 195mm x 1215mm; 12.3mm x 166/195mm; and 12.3mm x 90mm x 1215mm with square edge or V-Groove and anti-abrasive grades AC2, AC3 and AC4. For more information, pricing and samples, e-mail us.

Regular Vicwood Flooring Range

Vicwood engineered flooring consists of a top layer of natural or reconstituted veneer - in thicknesses ranging from 0.6mm to 4mm - over a plywood core. The multi-layered assembly of alternate sheets of straight-grained and cross-grained veneers counteracts shrinkage and expansion and increases strength, making the product an ideal choice for installation in places with high humidity or wide variations in temperature.

The layers are bonded together with an environmentally friendly, melamine-fortified and moisture-resistant E1-standard adhesive that is hot-pressed to enhance stability.

With tongue-and-grooved unfinished or pre-finished flooring, professional installation is recommended for best performance when on-site finishing is necessary. Unfinished flooring blanks without tongue and groove are also available for construction projects where custom installation is required.

The pre-finished product is coated with 7 layers of anti-scratch and anti-abrasive UV top varnish which render the product resistant to wear and tear for many years of use. Pre-finishing also reduces the time and labor of sanding and coating at job sites. Beveled edges are also offered for easier installation.

Vicwood engineered flooring can be placed problem-free over a concrete substrate using the following options:
